Welcome to Shotokan Karate – Hamilton. We’re delighted that you’ve found us! Use this site to discover more about our association and members.  Our association was founded to bring together people of every background and all ages, to enjoy Shotokan Karate.

We are (Satori) Shotokan Karate Club based in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire.  The club was formed in 1986 and has produced many British and Scottish Champions in Kata and Kumite at Senior and Junior levels.  The club is open to all ages from 5 & upwards, males and females, all are welcome.  The club has created many Black Belts (Dan Grades) over the years and have been credited with the youngest 2nd Dan in Scotland (aged 10) and the youngest 1st Dan (Aged 8)

All instructors are Criminal Records Bureau checked, first aid trained, have sports UK qualifications and NAKMAS coaching licences.

We have a strict anti-bullying policy and child protection policy.  The club is proud to support the NAKMAS Safe Kids Campaign.

The club has a large number of officially registered Black Belts, they’re all visible on the official Nakmas Black Belt register which you can view here.

We have a wealth of experience to offer and a friendly atmosphere enabling you to enjoy your Karate and learn safely at your own pace.  This is your opportunity to meet new friends – we’re always happy to welcome new members to our group. Drop in and see us – we’d love to meet you!
